Siya Kolisi

on family, dedication & hope

Siya Kolisi is a South African rugby player and captain of its national rugby team, the Springboks. He grew up in an impoverished town in the Eastern Cape and after receiving a scholarship went on to play in the national under-18 team. In 2013 he joined the Springboks after being appointed the first Black captain in 2018, led the team to victory in the 2019 Rugby World Cup. In 2020 he and his wife Rachel founded The Kolisi Foundation, a non-profit supporting people in disadvantaged communities.
